QPR take young Arsenal defender on trial

QPR are giving a trial to Arsenal youngster Chiori Johnson.

The 20-year-old right-back, who recently had a trial at Blackburn Rovers, is set to feature for Rangers’ development side in a game against Bristol City this afternoon.

So too is Henry Ochieng, a former West Ham trainee who is looking for a new club after leaving Leyton Orient and has been on trial with QPR for the last couple of weeks.

Johnson is looking to rebuild his career following a long-term knee injury, before which he was a regular for Arsenal’s Under-23 side.

He can also play at left-back or as a central defender.
