QPR striker Rob Hulse has rejected a loan move to Doncaster.
Hulse, who recently recovered from a knee injury, opted against making the switch because he did not want to move so far away from his family, who are based in the south.
He is likely to join Ipswich if Tractor Boys boss Paul Jewell takes the opportunity to sign the 32-year-old, who played under him at Derby.
Jewell is one of a number of managers Rangers informed of Hulse’s availability following the player’s decision not to join Doncaster.
And QPR have again circulated the names of Dan Shittu, Bruno Perone and Norwegian misfit Petter Vaagan Moen in another attempt to get them out on loan before Thursday’s deadline.
Meanwhile, popular winger Lee Cook has agreed to join League One side Leyton Orient on an initial one-month loan.
Cook is attempting to relaunch his career after a long battle with a knee complaint.
