Lynch says he wants new QPR contract
Joel Lynch has told the Evening Standard he wants to sign a new contract at QPR.
The defender, 31, struggled for fitness and form prior to this season but has been a key player since Steve McClaren took over as manager.
Lynch’s contract at Loftus Road is due to expire this summer and he hopes the club offer him a new deal.
“It is still up in the air at the minute, I am just waiting,” he said.
“I enjoy it here and I would want to stay, but I have just got to wait and see what the men in charge say.
“I think in the next few years the club can really push on. I would like to be a part of that.”
Meanwhile, QPR have agreed a deal for youngster Giles Phillips to join New England Revolution on loan.
