Grant Hall has suffered a setback in his attempted comeback from a persistent knee problem.
The QPR defender has not made a first-team appearance this season but recently returned to action for the club’s development side.
Having recently played the first half of a match against Coventry, Hall played 70 minutes against Charlton this week – but has not been able to train since.
The adverse reaction is a blow for Rangers, who are also without Nedum Onuoha and James Perch and hoped to have Hall, 25, back soon.
“Hally has had a setback,” manager Ian Holloway told the club website.
“He couldn’t train this week because he had a reaction after the game. We don’t know the seriousness of it at the minute.
“Hopefully it will settle down but there was no reaction to his first game but there has been a reaction to his second one.”
