QPR’s Mackie back in training

Jamie Mackie has resumed training with the rest of the QPR squad as he closes in on a return to action.

Mackie has not featured this season, having suffered ankle ligament damage in July.

He sustained the injury in training while coming back from a long-term hamstring problem.

Mackie, 31, joined the squad on Monday as they prepared for this weekend’s match against Rotherham.

But Jack Robinson, who aggravated hamstring problem during Thursday’s home defeat against Wolves, did not take part in the session.

Rangers are hoping that Robinson will recover in time to be available for the Rotherham game.
