QPR are hopeful of reaching an agreement with Sevilla for Stephane Mbia to join the Spanish outfit on a permanent basis.
Harry Redknapp says the Cameroon international, 27, has attracted interest from clubs in the Middle East.
But Rangers believe Sevilla, who took Mbia on season-long in August, may look to thrash out a deal.
His QPR contract expires in the summer but the club would happily cut ties with him this month if the chance arises.
Signed from Marseille in August 2012 after Rangers were unable to land a number of transfer targets, Mbia failed to impress last season.
He was subsequently sent out on loan along with the likes of Ji-Sung Park, who joined PSV Eindhoven, and Redknapp is keen for them to be sold.
“Mbia’s at Seville and we’ve had some interest from a couple of clubs in Dubai that have been on about him,” said the R’s boss.
“I don’t think he’s playing regularly at Seville and I don’t know how Park’s doing. I really don’t know what deals the chairman did on their loans, whether they’re coming back.
“We need to sell them and Julio Cesar – he’s another big earner who needs to move.”
