Kazenga LuaLua has left QPR and returned to Brighton after his loan spell was ended a month early.
The winger, whose father died in August, had not played for two months before coming on as a substitute in Monday’s 2-2 draw against Brentford.
The loan deal was due to end in January but all parties have agreed he should return to Brighton now.
Rangers manager Ian Holloway recently told West London Sport that LuaLua had failed to impress him since being brought back to Loftus Road, where he ended last season on loan.
“We borrowed him until January, he lost his father and I think he lost his confidence,” Holloway said.
“I don’t feel he was doing as well as some of my lads who I’ve brought here. Unless he rips it up and shows me – and he’s trying to – I think the loss of confidence and loss of his father has really hit him.
“So I’ve got some decisions to make on that and at the minute he hasn’t changed my mind.
LuaLua was dropped by Holloway for the home match against Burton in September after failing to report for training on time on the eve of the game.
