QPR to hold crunch talks with Osayi-Samuel and Manning

QPR plan to hold crunch talks with Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ryan Manning next week.

Both players are in the final year of their contracts and Rangers want to know whether they have any intention of signing new deals.

If the answer is no, the club are likely to actively look to sell for the best possible price before the current transfer window closes.

Osayi-Samuel recently decided against move to Club Brugge after the Belgian outfit had £4.7m bid accepted.

Discussions with the winger’s representatives - abandoned on the understanding he would be leaving - resumed, but so far there has been no indication that Osayi-Samuel will accept Rangers’ longstanding contract offer.

The same applies with Manning, who has similarly kept his options open.

West Ham are aware of Manning's potential availability and several other clubs have been linked with the Irishman, but so far there have been no approaches for him.

With the sale of Ebere Eze to Crystal Palace set to go through, QPR now plan to make resolving the issue of Osayi-Samuel and Manning’s futures a priority.

Rangers will encourage them to accept the pay rises that would come with improving their contracts - and can highlight the fact Eze signing a long-term deal in 2018 proved to be no barrier to him joining a Premier League club.

But QPR now want the situation resolved one way or another.

Meanwhile, Dom Ball, Osman Kakay, Conor Masterson and keeper Seny Dieng, whose contracts also expire next year, are in line for improved deals.

There is some uncertainty over the future of keeper Joe Lumley, who is also now in the final year of his contract.

Rangers currently seem minded to offer him an extension, despite some shaky performances last season.

But with Liam Kelly and Dieng also at the club, any offers received for Lumley in the coming weeks would be considered.

And talks are ongoing with Toni Leistner about a financial settlement for him to leave.
