QPR plan bid for West Ham’s Diame
QPR are likely to table a pre-deadline bid for West Ham midfielder Mo Diame.
Harry Redknapp is an admirer of the Senegal international and made an unsuccessful attempt to sign him last season.
He will try again on Friday in the hope a deal can be agreed to take Diame, 26, to Loftus Road.
Rangers boss Redknapp is also considering his options after Charlie Austin’s shoulder injury left the club in desperate need of a striker.
Austin, who has scored 15 goals this season, faces a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
Enquiries have previously been made about Blackburn forward Jordan Rhodes, but the two clubs were nowhere near agreeing a fee.
Diame, who was born in France, joined West Ham in 2012 following a three-year spell at Wigan.
He went off injured after colliding with the advertising hoardings during a 0-0 draw at Chelsea on Wednesday.
