QPR have offered a contract to Barnsley midfielder Josh Scowen.
The out-of-contract 24-year-old is available on a Bosman free transfer and Rangers are among a number of clubs keen to sign him.
The interested clubs include newly-promoted Huddersfield, but QPR are hoping the Hertfordshire-born Scowen will opt for a return to the south and the prospect of regular first-team football.
Scowen is a close friend of R’s keeper Matt Ingram – they were team-mates at Wycombe, who sold Scowen to Barnsley in January 2015.
He has made 96 league appearances for the Tykes, scoring 10 goals.
Meanwhile, Blackburn want QPR midfielder Ben Gladwin.
