QPR have missed out on the signing of Craig Bryson after he opted to sign a new five-year contract at Derby.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who scored 16 goals for the Rams last season, was one of Rangers boss Harry Redknapp’s top summer targets.
Burnley also wanted Bryson but Derby, beaten by QPR in last season’s Championship play-off final, were determined to retain their best players after missing out on promotion.
