QPR could be without Karl Henry for Saturday’s game at Huddersfield.
Henry is expecting the birth of his child in the next few days and Rangers are therefore unsure whether the midfielder will be in their squad for the trip north.
Meanwhile, Chris Ramsey is hoping a stomach bug which has affected some of his young players does not spread to the first-team squad.
The Rangers head coach explained: “Karl Henry’s expecting a child this weekend so we’re not sure whether he’s going to be involved.
“Apart from that, we’ve got a little bit of illness around the place so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that everyone’s alright for the game.
“It’s nothing serious, just the kind of thing you get at this time of year when the weather changes. A couple of the younger lads haven’t been too well.”
A two-week break because of international matches follows this weekend’s game and Rangers are hopeful Jamie Mackie and Yun Suk-Young will then be available for selection.
Yun missed all of pre-season with a knee injury but has made good progress with his recovery.
Mackie, meanwhile, has been troubled by groin problem but is expected to return to the squad for the home match against his former club Nottingham Forest on 12 September.
“He’s not fit yet but we’re hoping that after the two-week international break he’ll be fighting for a place in the team,” Ramsey said.
