QPR believe they may have to wait until at least next week to add to their squad.
Manager Harry Redknapp is keen to make a number of signings this month and was hoping to bring players in soon after the window opened.
But, asked if he expected any deals to be concluded by the weekend, Redknapp said: “I doubt it. It’s difficult at the moment to find players at this time of year.
“Not too many clubs let players go and, when they do, in the situation we’re in people look to hold you to ransom.
“We’ll see. We don’t know for sure. I’ve got a list of players I’d like to try to get but actually getting them is not easy.”
Meanwhile, Redknapp has confirmed his interest in Joe Cole and is also trying to sign France striker Loic Remy from Marseille.

Anelka have speed and skill, use him like when he play for mancity
This is depressing, we will have to pay over the odds for other clubs rejects. Do we really need more ageing players looking for there final payday? With our wage bill we will be AFC-QPR in the next couple of years. The best we can do is try and off load most of our players and start to get ready for where we will be next season, in the championship. If any one thinks we have a chance of staying up then they are deluded imo.
