QPR defender Nedum Onuoha tested his fitness in a reserve game on Tuesday afternoon.
Onuoha has been sidelined since aggravating a hamstring problem during the recent draw against Reading.
He was out for two months before that match and was due to play for Rangers’ Under-21 side the following week. But he had to made a sooner-than-expected return to action at the Madejski Stadium because of a first-half injury to Richard Dunne.
This time he was able to play as planned in a second-string game, which also featured Niko Kranjcar, Karl Henry, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Armand Traore and striker Javier Chevanton.
Despite the strong-looking line-up, they were beaten 1-0 by Bournemouth at Rangers’ Harlington training ground.
Defender Luke Young, still battling to overcome a hip condition, played for 75 minutes, as did Samba Diakite, who captained the team.
