Gladwin set for talks with Ramsey and could leave QPR on loan

Ben Gladwin plans to hold talks with Chris Ramsey about his lack of first-team action at QPR and could leave on loan.

The midfielder, 23, has started only one league match since being signed during the summer from Swindon, who are interested in a loan deal to take him back to the County Ground.

Gladwin’s last first-team appearance came when head coach Ramsey sent him on as a late substitute in the home defeat against Nottingham Forest almost a month ago.

“I’ll probably be having a chat with him. I’ll see what he says about my chances of playing and move forward from there,” Gladwin said.

“I understand that we’ve got a strong squad and competition for places is very tough. I’ve just got to keep working hard.

“I can play in either of the wide positions or behind the striker, but obviously we’ve got very good players in those positions.

“Everyone wants to get on the pitch and play football and that’s what I’ll be looking to do.”

Gladwin also admits his fitness has been affected by his limited opportunities so far this season.

“Obviously because of the lack of games I’m not totally up to speed at the moment,” he said.

“That’s something that I’ll be looking to change in the coming weeks. I need to get a little bit fitter.”
