QPR are interested in signing Luke Amos from Tottenham on a permanent deal.
The midfielder has completed a season-long loan at Loftus Road and Rangers boss Mark Warburton is keen for him to return.
Rangers would be interested in another loan but would like to agree his permanent transfer if a deal with Spurs can be reached.
Amos, 23, joined QPR just after recovering from a long-term knee injury.
He spent most of the previous season on the sidelines after suffering anterior cruciate damage in an Under-23s match less than a month after making his first-team debut for Spurs.
Amos struggled for fitness and form during much of his time at QPR.
But Warburton rates him highly and believes he has huge potential.
Meanwhile, German club Cologne have indicated to QPR that they are not currently planning to take up their option to sign Toni Leistner this summer.
