QPR lucky to have ‘quality’ Kranjcar – Bond
QPR assistant manager Kevin Bond says the club are lucky to have a player of Niko Kranjcar’s quality playing for them in the Championship.
The Croatia international impressed on his full debut in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Middlesbrough, when his excellent technique and passing laid the foundations for Rangers’ most imposing performance of the season.
The former Tottenham midfielder was signed on a season-long loan from Dynamo Kiev on deadline day and Bond believes there aren’t many players in the second tier with his ability.
“He’s absolute quality,” Bond said.
“There’s not too many players of Niko’s quality in the Championship – no disrespect to other sides. We’re lucky to have him.
“You can see that when he’s on the ball and the time he gives himself. It was an excellent start for him.
“He wanted to come here and was desperate to play, which is fantastic. It was no coincidence that with Niko in the side we clicked a lot better.
“When you get footballers in your team that can really handle the ball you’re going to play better.”
