QPR line up defender deal ahead of loan deadline

QPR will look to bring in a cenre-back following the arrivals of Nahki Wells and Tomer Hemed.

Rangers boss Steve McClaren has been keen to bring in two strikers and a central defender as well as cover at right-back.

With Angel Rangel having arrived on a short-term deal while Darnell Furlong is out injured, and forwards Wells and Hemed completing their loan moves from Burnley and Brighton respectively, Rangers will turn their attention to the defence.

A number of possible signings have been identified ahead of next week’s closure of the loan window.

Rangers have been forced to look elsewhere after defenders Trent Sainsbury and Michael Hefele decided against moves to Loftus Road.
