QPR are hopeful of completing a deal for goalkeeper Julio Cesar to join Toronto FC on loan.
The MLS club, managed by former Rangers defender Ryan Nelsen, expressed an interest in Cesar, 34, after he again failed to secure a move during the transfer window.
Despite reported interest from a number of clubs since he was made available at the end of last season, Rangers have struggled to find any takers for the Brazil international.
He has not made a league appearance this season and is keen to play first-team football ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari suggested on Tuesday that a deal was already in place for Cesar to join Toronto.
