QPR are interested in a possible deal to sign Middlesbrough defender Alex Baptiste.
The 31-year-old, who spent most of last season on loan at Preston, previously played under Rangers boss Ian Holloway at Blackpool.
He is among a number of defenders QPR have lined up as a potential signing, either permanently or on loan, as they look to add to their squad.
They have been waiting for news on the fitness of Watford’s Tommie Hoban, who was set for a loan move to Loftus Road before recently picking up a knee injury in training.
Baptiste is primarily a centre-back but can also play at full-back.
His other previous clubs also include Mansfield, Burton and Bolton.
