QPR fans hail ‘Polish Messi’ after win at Reading
QPR fans on Twitter have been reacting to Pawel Wszolek’s tremendous performance in the 1-0 win at Reading.
The Polish winger had a superb game at the Madejski Stadium, where Jamie Mackie’s goal gave Rangers a third consecutive league victory.
There has been plenty of praise for other players too, including the fit-again Mackie, Massimo Luongo and youngster Darnell Furlong, who impressed on his Championship debut.
But Wszolek, whose season-long loan from Hellas Verona includes an option to sign him on a two-year contract, stole the show and continues to go from strength to strength.
Pawel's performances in recent weeks have been unreal.. Dare I say it, what a signing he's turning out to be!! 👊🏻 @QPRFC #QPR #Wszolek

Wszolek gets better every week. Manning and Luongo excellent. Bidwell better today. Onouha was superb. Mackie – no words for his effort #QPR

Wszolek was different gravy. Not a perfect performance from all by any means but saw determination last night. Great win! #qpr

Watched most of the game back last night; terrific team performance and there is no way Perch will be getting ahead of Furlong #REAQPR #QPR

So many choices for MOTM. Agree with Sky, Wszolek for me. However not far behind were Luongo, Manning, Furlong & Lynch. Fulham next. #QPR

Great performance by Darnell Furlong – looking forward to seeing more of him & Doughty (at last!) #QPR

Young & inexperienced but give me Furlong over Perch every day of the week #QPR

If Messi had made the pass that Manning made for the goal, the press would be talking about it for weeks. Brilliant performance last night from everyone. Even better that my boss is a Reading supporter.
