QPR have reiterated to clubs that Ebere Eze will not be sold for less than £20m.
Rangers want a bidding war beginning at that amount and expect Eze to be snapped up this summer.
For some time their position has been that any club unwilling to pay at least £20m would be wasting its time making an approach.
West Ham and Crystal Palace have made enquiries about the 22-year-old and been given that message.
Other Premier League clubs have informally asked about Eze in recent weeks and been told the same.
Eze has scored 14 goals this season and been outstanding for QPR in the Championship.
He has a year remaining on his contract but Rangers have an option to extend it by 12 months, so he is effectively under contract until 2022.
West Ham have indicated they are interested in a potential deal to sign Eze but are also keen on Brentford’s Said Benrahma.
Meanwhile, QPR are interested in signing Luke Amos from Tottenham on permanent deal.
