QPR discussing personal terms with Motta
QPR are discussing personal terms with Italian defender Marco Motta after deciding they want to sign him on a contract until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old right-back was recently granted a trial by Rangers, who have been keen to assess his fitness – Motta has been without a club since leaving Watford at the end of last season.
Prior to his three-month spell at Vicarage Road, during which time he made seven league starts for the Hornets, Motta was at Juventus.
Motta, who began his career at Roma and also spent a year at Udinese, was sent out on loan to Genoa, Bologna and Catania by Juve before eventually securing a move to England.
Rangers believe he can provide them with short-term cover at right-back before longer-term options are assessed in the summer.
