Henrique’s proposed move to QPR is off after the Brazilian striker was denied a work permit.
Rangers agreed a deal with Sao Paulo to sign the highly-rated 20-year-old on an initial loan with a view to a permanent move in the summer.
The club are now considering their next move but at this stage look unlikely to appeal against the decision.
Their signing of Nigerian left-back Taye Taiwo from AC Milan has been approved and is likely to be confirmed once the player arrives in England later this week.
Taiwo, 26, could make his debut in this weekend’s FA Cup fourth-round clash with Chelsea.
