QPR defender Morrison close to returning from injury
QPR defender Liam Morrison appears to be close to returning from injury.
The centre-back was sidelined by a knee problem soon after joining from Bayern Munich during the summer and had to wait until November to make his Championship debut.
He impressed before picking up another injury and has not featured since the home match against Preston on 21 December.
But Morrison has returned to light training and is expected to be available for selection soon.
“He’s starting to work on the (training) pitch,” head coach Marti Cifuentes explained.
“The progress is going so well and the medical team are happy with his development and, (in terms of) when he will be back, we’re not talking about a lot of weeks but probably now about days.
“I’m not a doctor and not a physiotherapist. I let them do their job and as soon as possible he will be into the team.
“I don’t think he will be far in terms of being able to be selected.”
