QPR will not be signing former Chelsea midfielder Jacob Mellis.
The 21-year-old joined Rangers on trial after being sacked by the Blues for setting off a smoke grenade at their Cobham training ground last month.
He has since been arrested following a domestic incident.
R’s boss Mark Hughes was keen to give Mellis a chance to rebuild his career and extended his trial period.
But Hughes has subsequently decided not to retain him and the player is no longer training with the club.
