QPR confirm signing of ex-Spurs youngster

QPR have confirmed the signing of former Tottenham youngster Freddy Champion on a professional contract.

The midfielder has signed an 18-month deal at Loftus Road along with R’s youth products Jordan Gibbons and Jamie Sendles-White.

Champion was born and raised in Shepherd’s Bush and was on the books of QPR and Chelsea before Spurs snapped him up.

He joined Rangers on trial earlier this season after being released by the north London club, and was subsequently taken on as a scholar before being told he would be given a pro contract in the new year.
