QPR confirm signing of Angella from Watford

QPR have confirmed the signing of Gabriele Angella from Watford on loan for the rest of the season.

West London Sport recently revealed that Rangers were looking to sign the Italian centre-back, 26, and Daniel Tozser, whose move to Loftus Road was completed last week.

Both men played key roles as the Hornets won promotion to the Premier League last season. Tozser was on loan at Watford from Parma.

A former Italy Under-21 international, Angella moved to Vicarage Road from Udinese in 2013.

He has made a total of 75 Championship appearances but has not featured in the league so far this season.

QPR head coach Chris Ramsey has been looking for a ball-playing central defender to play alongside skipper Nedum Onuoha.

Rangers turned their attention to Angella after missing out on United States international Tim Ream, who opted to join Fulham.
