QPR confirm Penrice’s scouting role

QPR have confirmed the appointment of Gary Penrice, who has been given the title of recruitment consultant.

West London Sport revealed in March that the former R’s striker, 52, was returning to head up the club’s scouting team.

He has been a friend of Ian Holloway since childhood and was his assistant for part of Holloway’s first spell as QPR manager. They were previously team-mates at Loftus Road and at Bristol Rovers.

Penrice has had senior scouting roles at a number of clubs, including Everton, Wigan and more recently West Brom.
