QPR have confirmed they have installed former Tottenham coach Chris Ramsey to oversee their academy.
West London Sport revealed this week that Ramsey was set to be appointed.
Ramsey, currently assistant manager of the England Under-17s, worked alongside Les Ferdinand at Spurs and has been in line for role at Loftus Road for some time.
Former Rangers and England star Ferdinand was recently given the title of head of football operations by chairman Tony Fernandes and part of his remit involves a revamp of the club’s youth system.
That has meant replacing Richard Allen – also formerly of Tottenham – who has resigned as academy boss at Rangers to take up new role at the Football Association.
Ferdinand’s ex-QPR team-mate David Bardsley, who runs an academy in the United States, was among the applicants for the position, but Ramsey was always the frontrunner.
He spent 10 years at Tottenham and left the north London club along with Ferdinand in June after Tim Sherwood was axed as manager.
