QPR seal signing of Swindon’s Luongo
QPR have completed the signing of Massimo Luongo from Swindon for an undisclosed fee and are expected to sign Ben Gladwin from the League One club in the next 24 hours.
The midfielders, both 22, have agreed to join Rangers despite interest from a number of other clubs, including Aston Villa.
Rangers opened talks with the duo after having offers accepted by Swindon, who were recently beaten by Preston in the League One play-off final.
Australia international Luongo has signed a three-year contract at Loftus Road.
He joined the Robins in 2013 from Tottenham, where he worked with QPR director of football Les Ferdinand and head coach Chris Ramsey, who were then at White Hart Lane.
Gladwin has impressed since he was signed by the Robins from non-League Marlow two years ago. He previously had a spell at Hayes & Yeading.
