QPR have again had to change the venue for a pre-season friendly in Italy, this time because of concerns about the state of the pitch.
Chris Ramsey’s side were due to play Monaco on Tuesday evening at the Novarello Training Centre, where the surface has been seriously affected by extremely hot weather.
Rangers believed playing on the hard surface could put their players at risk of injury and Monaco had similar misgivings.
The match will therefore now be played at Stadio E.Brunod Chatillon.
QPR were forced into a late change of opponents and venue after Shakhtar Donetsk pulled out of planned friendly on Saturday, leaving Rangers to hastily arrange a match against Verona Stars.
Rangers are supplying two free chartered coaches to take supporters to the match from Stresa, where the squad is currently based. Further details are on the club’s website.
