QPR’s Onuoha appeal is rejected

QPR’s appeal against Nedum Onuoha’s red card at Brighton has been rejected.

The Rangers skipper was sent off during the second half of his side’s 3-0 defeat following a challenge on Albion’s Sam Baldock.

He must now serve a one-match ban, ruling him out of the New Year’s Eve match at Wolves.

R’s boss Ian Holloway insisted after the Brighton game that referee Keith Stroud was wrong to send Onuoha off.

“When he blew the whistle I feared the worst. Talk about ruining a game,” Holloway said.

“We’re already 2-0 down and you’re going to send my skipper off? It has to be crystal clear, doesn’t it?

“That is about as harsh as it can be. And that after [Idrissa] Sylla, in the first half, gets smashed by [Shane] Duffy and we don’t even get a free-kick.”

  • I think they have done us a massive favour
For whatever reason this guy is not playing well
He's our captain and he is all over the place
I doubt he will be missed at all

As to the sending off (joke) & subsequent
Failure of appeal it does leave you wondering
Did they actually watch a recording of the incident

  • what an absolute JOKE! who are these faceless wonders who obviously are only there to support referee's irrespective of whether they are right OR NOT.
