Bristol City 2 QPR 0

QPR were woeful at Ashton Gate, losing despite the home side playing most of the game with 10 men.

Nathan Baker was red-carded for a crude challenge on Josh Scowen just after the half-hour mark.

But Famara Diedhiou put Carabao Cup semi-finalists Bristol City in front in first-half injury time and Joe Bryan doubled their lead midway through the second half.

Both goals came as a result of sloppy QPR defending.

Diedhiou netted with a near-post header from Ryan Kent’s corner.

And Bryan pounced on the loose ball to score after keeper Alex Smithies had kept out Diedhiou’s shot.

Rangers boss Ian Holloway sent on target man Matt Smith at half-time in an attempt to capitalise on the numerical advantage.

The visitors did cause City some problems before the second goal, but overall it was a dismal QPR showing.

QPR: Smithies, Baptiste (Smith 45), Onuoha, Robinson, Furlong (Osyai-Samuel 73), Scowen, Luongo, Freeman, Bidwell, Washington, Oteh (Eze 73).
Subs not used: Ingram, Lynch, Manning, Perch.

  • Sort out this fair play payment and let’s get investing in the team.
The QPR faithful have been patient and nothing is happening.
The players are hard working but there is a lack of cohesion direction and now quality and confidence.
Where’s my new stadium it’s embarrassing travelling to away games and experiencing the real lack of investment in QPR over the years.
Who’s going to come and play for us?
Born in Queens Park a few hundred yards from St Jude’s where it all began it really hurts to see the decline.
QPR till I die it’s seems a long time to suffer.

  • When we play Washington we put our defence under pressure; he runs around a lot and always seems to be in the most ineffective place. His holding & shooting is awful. I am surprised we have not let him go in Jan. Also Onouha makes too many mistakes. Both are Holloway favourites at the expense of results. Unless Holloway wakes up we could be relegated. Surely the board are reassessing his position.

  • Same shit different day. Woeful doesn’t come close. The team, the management, the manager is a disgrace. TF will start tweeting soon, “let’s be patient”, I have a better idea! Sack yourself.

  • We're an embarrassment, can't beat 10 men ,hang your heads Mr Holloway & Mr Fernandes .if we don't get a player in this transfer window, please get a manager.
