Stoke 1 QPR 0
Charlie Adam’s second-half winner condemned QPR to another defeat and sent them back to the bottom of the Premier League.
Adam’s goal – his first for the Potters – came after Rangers were shoddy at the back yet again.
A long ball pumped into the area caused panic and after Peter Crouch missed with an attempted volley, Armand Traore failed to clear and Adam pounced to score.
Crouch, playing against his former club, almost put Stoke ahead with a deflected shot in the first half.
But Rangers looked dangerous themselves, with Adel Taarabt causing City problems.
Taarabt and Esteban Granero both went close to equalising as Mark Hughes’ men tried to hit back.
They were leapfrogged by Southampton, who drew with Swansea to climb off the bottom.
And they meet the Saints next weekend in a game both teams – and both managers – dare not lose.
QPR: Cesar, Bosingwa, Ferdinand, Nelsen, Traore, Diakite, Faurlin (Zamora 78), Granero, Hoilett, Taarabt, Cisse.
Subs not used: Green, Derry, Hill, Wright-Phillips, Mackie, Onuoha.

Hughes is proving a disaster, as grim and negative as they come who has wasted money on players coming to the end of their careers on inflated wages. that combined with a chairman who's ego will not allow him to see the huge error he has made in allowing this clueless manager to waste so much money and then relegate the club, hughes managerial reign will be long remembered as one of the worst periods in QPR's time. the longer this drags on the worse it will get and it will then need a miracle worker to save us. surely after the likely draw against southampton next week, even fernandez may start to feel a little panicky!!
