Neil Warnock vowed to sort out QPR’s defence during the January transfer window after seeing his struggling team slump to defeat against Sunderland.
Rangers fought back from 2-0 down only for Wes Brown’s late header to snatch a victory for Martin O’Neill’s men.
The home side’s defending for all three goals they conceded underlined why signing a centre-back will be Warnock’s priority – and the R’s boss insisted he would act decisively.
“We were the better side and the goals we conceded were terrible,” he said.
“Two free headers. I thought Christmas was on Sunday but Sunderland must think it’s come early.
“I can’t believe we lost that game – but I know how we lost it. The fans can also see what we need and trust me to sort it, and I will sort it.
“It won’t take a lot of sorting, but I know what we need and I’m going to go out and get it.”

defeat after defeat may make bos mr fernandez uneasy
Let's hope so Neil - otherwise it will be back to the Championship first time round.
Warnock needs to sort it. that wasnt good enough.
I know what we need as well, taarabt on the pitch rather than three holding midfield players, gifted them the game in that first half
