QPR boss reveals Barton suspension fear

QPR manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that Joey Barton is concerned about the risk of being suspended for the play-offs.

The Rangers midfielder is three bookings away from his 15th of the season, which would see him pick up a ban.

“He’s three bookings from a suspension. It shouldn’t be a consideration but I think Joey’s a bit concerned about that,” Redknapp explained.

Barton has been unavailable recently because of a thigh problem but is expected to return to the squad for Saturday’s trip to face promoted Leicester.

“He’s been doing some running in training and we think he’ll be okay for the weekend,” Redknapp said.
