QPR boss Redknapp ponders move for ex-Chelsea duo
QPR boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed he is considering signing Tal Ben Haim and has not ruled out a move for Nicolas Anelka.
Both former Chelsea players have been identified by Rangers as possible signings as they look to climb away from the bottom of the Premier League.
Israeli defender Ben Haim, 30, left Portsmouth this year and is currently unattached.
“I am having a look at him. He’s a good defender, a good lad and has a great attitude,” said Redknapp.
“He looks very fit and I have let him come in and train. We’ll just see where we go in the next couple of weeks.”
And there has been uncertainty over the future of 33-year-old striker Anelka, who is reportedly unhappy at Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua and has been tipped to return to England.
“He’s a good player – a top player,” said Redknapp.
“He’s a player who, if available, is someone people will be interested in. But as far as I’m concerned he’s in China.”
