QPR boss ‘very disappointed’ by Austin ban
QPR manager Mark Warburton says he is “very disappointed” by a three-match ban given to Charlie Austin.
Austin denied a Football Association charge of violent conduct following a clash with Ryan Yates during Rangers’ defeat at Nottingham Forest.
A stamp on the midfielder was not picked up by the match officials at the time and a charge was later issued on the basis of video evidence.
Striker Austin will now miss Saturday’s game against Sheffield Wednesday as well as matches against Rotherham and Middlesbrough.
Warburton said: “I’m just very disappointed. Obviously a due process has been followed but I’m without a doubt disappointed to lose a very important player for three key games.
“It’s frustrating. It happened right in front of me and the linesman. It’s a very disappointing decision and we’ve paid a price, losing a key player.”

Looked more like a back heel to me, Ive seen worse tackles than that. A game played by sissies run by snowflakes.
