QPR are monitoring Grant Hall’s reaction to his first start since April.
Despite recent fears that he would require surgery on persistent knee problem, which could rule him out for several months, Hall returned to the starting line-up for Friday’s 1-0 defeat at Millwall.
Hall appeared to be struggling towards the end of the game and manager Ian Holloway said: “I’m hoping and praying that he’s going to be fine.
“The nature of the injury he’s had for the last six or seven months is one where we’re all hoping that he doesn’t get a recurrence of the tendonitis. We’ll have to wait and see.
“Considering how long he’s been out, it didn’t look like that apart from him limping around at the end. Hopefully we’ll make sure he’s not injured again. I was delighted the lad got through it.”
With Josh Scowen suspended, Hall was being considered for a place in midfield before being brought in to replace the ill Jack Robinson in defence.
Holloway explained: “Robbo was ill. I wouldn’t have changed him. And with Scowen missing I might have put Grant Hall in there, but I wasn’t allowed that choice.”
