Goalkeeper Seny Dieng will miss QPR's game against Cardiff after failing to recover from a thigh injury he picked up during last Saturday's defeat at Blackburn.
Dieng was forced off at half-time of the 1-0 loss after being hurt in a challenge with Rovers striker Sam Gallagher and has not been able to train this week, with David Marshall set to deputise once again.
The Scotland international is now the only fit senior goalkeeper at the club with Dieng, Jordan Archer and Joe Walsh all sidelined.
Twenty-year-old Murphy Mahoney, who has never played a professional match, will be on the bench for the visit of the Bluebirds.
Archer is recovering from surgery after dislocating his shoulder in January's FA Cup penalty shoot-out win over Rotherham, with Walsh still recuperating from an operation to put a pin in his hand following an injury he picked up in training.
"Seny had a quad injury. I will let the medical boys look after him, but he won't be available for tomorrow," QPR boss Mark Warburton said.
"But David Marshall has been outstanding for us since he came in, so I have no hesitation or worries about him."
Warburton confirmed that Lee Wallace, who has missed the past three matches with a groin problem, is available again and is hopeful Lyndon Dykes will be cleared to face Cardiff.
"Lyndon was out on the grass yesterday (Thursday) and if he is cleared to play then great, but if he is not then I am not going to rush him back," Warburton said.
