Andersen to miss Plymouth game but QPR expect quick return
Lucas Andersen will miss QPR’s game against Plymouth on Saturday but is expected to be available again soon, according to Marti Cifuentes.
Andersen suffered a thigh injury while taking a corner during Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Sheffield United.
He has been involved in light training this week and appears to be on course for a swift return to action.
“He got a small muscular strain in his adductor while striking his corner. He is in the recovery process,” head coach Cifuentes said.
“It was good news that it’s not a big one, so hopefully he will be (returning) soon.
“The first feeling was not great and when I saw he was standing with pain it was not a good signal.
“But we took the pictures and it’s a small rupture in his adductor. The good thing is that it’s not a big one and he has already been on the (training) pitch the last couple of days, feeling better and better.
“It’s difficult to say exactly when he will be back, but it looks better than how it felt on the pitch.”
Rangers will again be without Ilias Chair and Morgan Fox.
Chair is expected to remain sidelined for several more weeks with a back problem.
