Mick Beale is still hoping Chris Willock will be available for QPR’s opening game of the Championship season.
Willock, who had surgery after suffering a nasty hamstring injury in March, recently returned to light training.
And boss Beale believes there is a chance the former Arsenal man could be involved against Blackburn on 30 July.
Beale said: “He had a minor setback after his operation but returned to light training.
“He will hopefully be full training in two or three weeks. I wouldn’t rule him out of the Blackburn game.”
Meanwhile, Luke Amos and recent signing Tyler Roberts are expected to sit out the second match of QPR’s pre-season trip to Germany.
Neither player was involved against FSV Zwickau this week.
Goalkeeper Seny Dieng also missed that game but will return for Saturday’s friendly against Hallescher.
Roberts, signed on loan from Leeds, is nursing a muscle problem and has had a scan. The injury does not appear to be serious.
Beale said: “It’s a minor issue - nothing overly concerning. We’re just waiting for the scan results.
“And Luke Amos has just been feeling a little bit of stiffness. We won’t take any risks with players in the matches.”
