Morrison fit but Colback not ready for QPR return

Liam Morrison is fit for QPR’s game at Watford on Saturday.

The defender, recently back from injury, was in some pain as he went off during the second half of Wednesday’s 2-0 win at Cardiff.

But head coach Marti Cifuentes explained: “He was just starting to get cramp and we felt, having Morgan Fox on the bench, it was not necessary to take risks. Liam is fine.”

Meanwhile, Jack Colback is not yet ready to return to the squad after his injury. The veteran midfielder looks likely to rejoin the squad in the next couple of weeks.

“We need more training (sessions) from him. We need to see a bit more,” Cifuentes said.

“It’s a process until he’s ready to compete. Hopefully he’s not far from it.”

Rangers hope to have Ilias Chair, Jake Clarke-Salter and Michael Frey back before Christmas.
