Macauley Bonne has been passed fit for QPR’s game against Bournemouth and could be joined in the squad by Jordy de Wijs.
Striker Bonne missed this week’s win over Brentford but trained on Thursday and is available this weekend.
Recent signing De Wijs also trained on Thursday and could be on the bench against the Cherries. Otherwise he is likely to be included in the squad for Wednesday’s trip to Preston.
The Dutch defender has been struggling with calf injury and has not featured for Rangers since his arrival on loan from Hull City last month.
Manager Mark Warburton said: “He’s now very close. He trained well yesterday and is very close to being available for selection.
“Whether it’s for the game tomorrow or whether it’s for Preston, he’ll certainly (soon) be available.”
However, George Thomas, who has been plagued by injury problems since his summer move to west London, is out again.
Thomas missed the Brentford game and is still not fit, but is expected to be available for the Preston match.
“George will probably be OK for Preston,” Warburton explained.
“It’s a niggling injury - no more than seven to 10 days but in this current climate that can mean you miss three games.”
Meanwhile, QPR are still establishing the extent of a hamstring injury Conor Masterson recently suffered while on loan at Swindon.
Masterson has returned to Rangers for treatment and it is feared that he could be sidelined for three months.
“I’m speaking to the doctor and I’ll go and speak to Conor,” Warburton said.
“It’s very frustrating for him but I’m not quite sure how extensive the injury is.”
