QPR manager Mark Hughes has admitted his decision to leave Adel Taarabt out of the starting line-up for Saturday’s draw at Norwich was tough on the Moroccan.
Taarabt made way for Bobby Zamora, with Junior Hoilett and Jamie Mackie playing on the flanks.
Hughes explained: “I’ve got options but I just felt it was important to have a focal point and that’s what Bobby gives us.
“I left Adel out because although he gives us a lot in terms of attacking, it’s important when we’re away from home that we’re compact as well.
“It was a little bit hard on Adel, in fairness, but we’ve got threats and it’s important I pick a team that can capitalise on them.”
