QPR manager Mark Hughes is close to naming a new captain.
Hughes has been considering a number of candidates to succeed Joey Barton, with the likes of Clint Hill, Anton Ferdinand and Ji-sung Park all wearing the armband so far during pre-season.
The R’s boss plans to make an announcement when his squad return from a visit to Germany, where they will play two matches.
Hughes said: “I keep moving it around and will continue to do that for the next two games.
“I’ve got a mind on who will eventually have it. A lot of the guys are making good claims for it and it’s good we’ve got leadership in the group.”

i think Park. cuz he's got more experience.
Faurlin or Ferdinand! They were our most consistent players last season, always put their all in, couldn't pick out a slip up by either of them and Faurlin already captained us against MK Dons when he got injured. We need a captain that is a good leader and who is going to retain the title for some years, Clint Hill & Shaun Derry would be good captains but they are 33 & 34 respectively so they would be retiring in the next couple of years. Would give Ale & Anton some responsibility to bring the best out of them (even more!) and give them some reassurance of their position at our club, COYR!!
if he can keep his place CLINT HILL.
