QPR midfielder Ben Gladwin will undergo a scan on Monday to determine the extent of the ankle injury he sustained in Sunday’s 2-0 win at Cardiff.
Gladwin limped off in the first half after going down under a strong challenge by Joe Ralls and although he tried to continue playing, he was unable to run the injury off and was replaced by Yeni Ngbakoto.
He first aggravated his left ankle in the win over Leeds last Sunday and was rested for the Swindon cup game in the midweek, but the decision to play against Cardiff backfired when he was forced off in the opening 20 minutes.
Gladwin will almost certainly be unavailable for the trip to Barnsley on Wednesday.
“We don’t know how bad it is,” said Rangers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink.
“He was the same injury as he picked up in the Leeds game. We’ll just have to wait and see.”
