Paul Furlong has been handed the role of Under-18s coach at QPR after the club confirmed the appointment of Steve Gallen as Marc Bircham’s successor.
Gallen, previously Under-18s coach, was recently placed in charge of Rangers’ development side on an interim basis after Bircham left the job to become first-team coach at Millwall.
The Acton-born Gallen, brother of former QPR forward Kevin, has now been installed on a permanent basis.
And ex-R’s striker Furlong, who was already part of the club’s youth coaching set-up, will replace him for the rest of the season.
