QPR have announced they have secured planning permission to build the club’s proposed new training ground at Warren Farm.
A development agreement has been signed with Ealing Council and the new facility is scheduled to be open in 2016.
West London Sport revealed in January 2012 that the sports centre near Osterley Park was Rangers’ preferred site for new training complex, which the club insist will also be available for community use.
Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes said: “We are committed to building the club in the right way and putting in place the foundations for future success.”
Ealing Council leader Cllr Julian Bell said: “Warren Farm is in dire need of redevelopment, so it is fantastic that QPR has committed to such a huge investment into the site.
“QPR’s plans have a strong focus on community involvement and I’m looking forward to seeing it all come together.”

This is a case of big organisations diplomatically, selectively and in a carefully scheduled manner working together to achieve their goals while deliberately refusing to talk with local people - a legal requirement - who will lose access to a 61 acre open acces site of green, open land, that will be fenced in and closed to the public.
Ealing Council should be embarrassed by their shameful actions. They are a perfect demonstration of why people are so disengaged with democracy.
For QPR, this is a great deal.
Why is Ealing Council subsidising a club with billionaire backers with a 200-year lease?
West London Sport - it's time for you, as the media, to hold local policiticians to account. Time to look beyond regurgitating press releases.

Does this mean that the anti Warren Farm development lot have lost out on their call for a judicial review?
